Bill was a great friend and 'Elmer' whom I enjoyed having dinner with at VOI meetings. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always made my very shy wife feel welcome and comfortable. He always told us, with a twinkle in his eye, that he lived with his girlfriend. Bill really enjoyed the surprise on Judy's face when we visited his home and met his 'girlfriend', his dog.
We will miss him very much.

I worked as a clerk in Lewiston with Bill when he was a Magistrate, always pleasant & fun to work with. I did love his wife Joyce, she was a good partner for him.
