William Smith

I sat next to Bill when he attended Mass at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Blue Ridge Summit. We held hands when we prayed the Our Father. He always greeted me with a hug when he arrived and hugged me again when he departed. He loved the bluegrass style music at the 8:30 Mass and often tapped his hands to the music he so greatly enjoyed. You can't imagine how shocked I was to hear of his passing this Sunday. I thought he was probably off visiting family as he often did. It brought tears...

We will miss Bill, greatly, here at Quincy. He was a fine neighbor and friend. He always had a smile and was willing to help whenever needed. We are so glad he went quickly and without a lot of pain and suffering. Polly and Larry Shifflett, 902A
