Not sure what to say?

I worked for Bill from 1968 to 1970. In 1975 he wrote my letter of recommendation to become a VW dealer in Santa Cruz. In the two short years I worked for him I learned so much,... learning that guaranteed my happiness and success to this day. Thank you Bill. RIP

He was a legend in the car biz, how he worked and dealt with clients, employees and associates. My dealings with him,albeit few were always positive.

" Dear Carol, You will always be in my heart and thoughts, Always and Forever. Ulrik & Gitte, Denmark"

Dear Friends
Our thoughts continue to be with all of you. We will miss Bill so much. He will always be a big part of our FLL family. It won't be the same without him, but memories are a wonderful thing to have when you have known someone like Mr.Bill. He was a true gentleman and a true friend.
Love to you.

To the Smythe Family,

My fondest memory of W.D. Smythe was when I ran into him in the customer lounge at the Mercedes store a couple of years ago.

I said to him " Mr. Smythe, thank you. Because of you, I was able to purchase my first home." Bill replied, "No Paul (he always remembered my name ), it is because you work so hard that you were able to accomplish your goal." I replied, " yes, I work hard. But you created this great company called Smythe European, which gave me the...

It is hard to believe someone so active, energetic, and involved is gone. I'm sure it is going to be a big adjustment and leave a big hole in the lives of all the Smythes and Stewarts. I remember Bill as a generous man who went out of his way to be kind to all the people he knew. I especially appreciate how kind and inclusive he was with Carol's and my grandmother, Ada Dubert, Carol's Aunt Doris (my mother) and the rest of our family. He cannot be replaced and leaves very big shoes for...

TO THE SMYTHE FAMILY;
MR. SMYTHE WAS A VERY BIG INFLUENCE IN MY LIFE. HE REALLY CARED ABOUT ME AND MY FAMILY AND ALWAYS SAID WE WERE PART OF HIS FAMILY. OVER THE YEARS I TRUELY BELIEVED THAT WAS TRUE. HE WAS KIND,FAIR,HELPFULL AND A GOOD FRIEND,LIKE A FATHER WOULD BE.
I WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH.

Dear Smythe Family,

Even at 90 years young Bill's passing was such a shock to us. My husband and I have spoken of him frequently trying to pinpoint what it was about Bill that made him so special. We feel that Bill truly aspired to live his life like Christ lived his. He was a man of character, integrity, kindness, passion, and so much more. He truly cared about man and mankind. He has left his mark on every person he met. We are all better for knowing him. Truly, he is a man...
