My condolences to the family!!!!

I was deeply sadden to hear about my dear teachers passing. I consider it a privilege to have had him as one of my mentors at Shaw. Although, his earthly life is over his spirit lives on in many hearts. Well done Dr.Spann!

What a celebration of life this should be! If I could place a star in the sky for every life you touched and inpspired, for every young man or women you helped stay in school, there would never ever be darkness. God gave us 86 years of your grace. We owe him a huge debt. We spoke a few weeks ago. We planned to go to Australia. I am saddened that that will never pass but I do have my 14 days in Africa with you! I will cherish that time for the rest of my life. My heart is broken but we will...

To the Spann Family,
Our prayers and thoughts goes out to you and the extended family! We are deeply sadden by the passing of Coach Spann who impacted many during his long tenture at Shaw University. As a player on the Shaw University Bears Men's Basketball Teams from 1963 to 67', Coach Spann had the most impact on my physical and social development at Shaw U.

We have been blessed by his presence on this earth! May God continue to bless and keep you .

Norman...

My deepest sympathy to the family. A man well remembered during my time at Shaw '75-'78. R.I.P. Dr. Spann

Psalms 133

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
