A childhood friend of mine from about 5 years old and maybe younger.We lived across the street from each other on 52nd st. Central Park. We would awaken each other by being up very early,going over to the others house,then to the bedroom window and yelling the other's name until he looked out of the window.His father took me under his wing when my Dad was drafted in WW11.I remember going to a hot dog place in B'ham, maybe Pete's where Billy Albert,as I called him and I ate about a dozen...

When Bill was a member of Gardendale Presbyterian Church, I considered him a good friend, as he and my mother, Evelyn Boozer, were close friends. Bill came and spent a holiday at our place on Smith Lake. We lost track of him when he moved south of Birmingham. So sorry to hear of his passing and extending condolences to his family. He was such a nice man and I know he will be missed,
