Not sure what to say?

The exuberance and zest my Dad had for life and people was a badge that he proudly wore everyday. He loved telling a great story that was funny and would make you laugh. He liked nothing more than to put a smile on someones face.
There are many memories and things he taught me. If it wasn't for my Dad, I wouldn't know how to drive a stick shift and I wouldn't know how to play chess. But most importantly, he made sure that I knew the importance of good friends and being kind to anyone...

Loved Pete, never once did I see him that he didn't ask me about my Uncle Pete. Always carried a smile in the
thirty plus years I knew him. Carried himself like a Marine.

Rest In Peace my friend, Rest In Peace ...

Pete was a true friend. I worked with Pete for thirty seven years. Pete was a very intelligent man. He would master whatever he choose. The stock market, horse racing and a long list of subjects. We spent time together at breakfast or lunch together with our friends. We would watch the U of W football and basketball games. Pete was a staunch fan of the University of Oregon. We had quite a rivalry. I know all of Pete's friends miss the good times with Pete and he will always be...

RIP BILL
DONNIE WALVATNE

To the Spear family I would like to send my condolences. Pete was good person and Union member.

We didn't get to see Uncle Peter very often at all - but when he came down to Portland for a visit it was always so much fun. So much excitement and laughter!

My last memories of Uncle Peter where here in Del Mar. It was maybe 20 years ago ... he was here to see the pony's race and I met him at the track. We had a blast.

I am only sad that we were not raised with Melissa, Clark and Leslie! Life goes so fast.

Blessing and health to all OxOxOx

Pete (Dad) came into my life when I was 3. He taught me many things. How to ride a bike, play chess, shoot a basketball and hit a softball. We shared a love a sports and when I started playing soccer he learned everything he could about the game and became the coach of my team. He continued to play soccer for many years. He encouraged me to do well in school and have a good work ethic.
Pete tackled his interests with tenacity. For a number of years he listened to German language tapes....

Sending our warm condolences to his family.
Remembering his contagious laughter from childhood. Wishing you peace.
