Not sure what to say?

I met Bill while swimming with my 3 year old son at Mad Maggie’s in Norwood in 1990. For several years, Bill and I engaged in numerous conversations. I was always impressed by his calmness and strength of character. Bill loved to watch my son “learn to swim”. In 1995, my wife and I purchased a Scituate Light painting for our 20th Anniversary. We now live in Humarock, and we have Bill’s painting hung above our fireplace. It has been the center of conversation for the past 25 years. Bill has...

I can't paint without thinking of Bill. He was a wonderful man and a gifted artist and teacher.

Miss you Billy❤

My Grandpa was a wonderful man. Full of love, laughter, and kindness. I miss him dearly and very much appreciate all the kind words about him.

Besides painting which came later, Bill was also a great art director to which I owe a debt of gratitude for inspiring me early on in my career. I was so saddened to hear of your passing. We enjoyed many good times in the era of John Meade Advertising and warm friendly conversations later. I wish I found the time to be in Bill's painting group. But Bill, rest assured you have inspired me to paint again. You will be missed buddy... thinking of you always.

Rest in peace my good...

Was hoping to paint with you again at MFA. Very surprised and sad to hear of your passing in next world. Will miss ur wit and laugh. God bless you and family.

We will miss Bill's Painting Demos at the BAA
What a great Artist and person he was.

So Sorry for your Loss.

I interviewed Bill for an article on Plein air painting for the Newbury St. And Back Bay. Guide and became friends for at least twenty years after that. Everyone loved Bill. This is a tremendous loss for Boston.

Bill was truly an inspirational teacher. He had a special way to reveal what you were capable of...all with kindness and humor. The world is a bit darker today... I will miss him immensely.
