William Garrett Stack

it is hard to believe that Garrett is gone so soon and only a year. I will always have him in my heart. I have only been him maybe to only talk say three hours in my life, but it seems more than that. In family gatherings, I knew who pray over the food ,and I knew that was special to him, not because he was the patriarch of the family,it was because of his faith in God.

I have so many memories of Garrett as our parents were close friends and our families visited often when we were young. In fact, as I recall, Jane and Garrett introduced my parents. So I wouldn't exist if not for that first act of kindness! He was funny, smart, warm, and always kind and generous. He will be missed, but leaves a remarkable legacy. Best to the whole Stack as you celebrate his life.

I really didn´t know William Garret Stack very well but when I said hi to him, he made me feel like the most important person in the room. He was not pretentious, he was a joyful and humble soul. I will miss his meal prayers when we gathered at Anna´s home.

We are sorry for your loss and have know the family for close to 40 years. What a nice and caring person who will be missed by all from the NLRB family.
