William Preston STEDMAN

Just learned of Preston's passing. I first met him at Texas A & I University in 1955, later earning degrees from that institution in the Department of Music when he was Chair. My wife was also a student in the department. I remember his Eastman oriented theory/sight singing classes and music history classes with great respect. Interesting how some of his philosophies influenced my thinking when I was music department chair at another institution in the 1980's & 90's.
