Not sure what to say?

So many years have passed without knowing what happened to our wonderful doctor in North Muskegon, Michigan. I was looking back in a old church directory when I saw him and his family. Dr. Steffee help saved our twins boys lives. His knowlege and wise choice of specialist in Grand Rapids continued good health as we now celebrate their 52 birthdays.

As the nephew of the late Miss Margaret D. Reid, retired English teacher at Oil City High School, I write to say my aunt Margaret was so proud of the Steffee brothers and Frederick Quinn, stars of "her" Oil City School District. As a graduate of Allegheny College, I thank the Steffee brothers and their families for supporting Allegheny. I send condolences and thanks for lives wonderfully served.

Dr. A. Steffee and Patty, Thinking of you and sending our sincere condolences to you and your family,
Annette and Mike Taylor.

Dear Erica,
I will always treasure the memories I have watching you and Bill discover and fall in love with your home on Devonshire: finding space for the garden, a room for a wine cellar, an extra room off the kitchen, ideal for bread baking, a perfect room for your musical instruments, an elevator in the house for just in case, and that pinnacle moment when you opened that closed-off room in the basement and discovered those long forgotten organ pipes with an inch of dustthat belonged...

In both Oil City and at Allegheny College I knew Bill Steffee as an amazingly talented purposeful person. When my daughter was at Case Western Reserve Medical School he generously invited us to chamber music concerts at his home. When my knee was being operated on in London, the surgeon asked if I had heard of "the Steffee knee." Rest eternal with God and his saints, dear Bill, and let everlasting light shine on you, and thanks for all your good works to so many people.

Erica, Laurie, Amy and all the Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. Bill was a wonderful man and we will always be grateful for having known him. He was always looking for ways to make the world a better place. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

With sincere sympathy,

Adrian and Joe

What a special person Bill was to so many people. He was always willing to share what he had with others - wise counsel, fine wine/food, and his time. We will all miss him.

Dr. Steffee and Patty, Linda and I extend our deepest sympathy to you and all your Family on the loss of your brother. Prayers to you all.
