Not sure what to say?

I remember you as my 6th grade teacher at Cold Springs elementary school. I was a handful but you kept me inline. I think about you often as one of my great memories of childhood. Ruthanna Pruyn Costello

Thank you for your service to our country. Rest In Peace.

This beautiful obituary brought tears to my eyes again. Our daughter, Suzy was married to Bill's son, Gerry, thus we claim to be a part of this wonderful family and will always hold Bill in our hearts.

Wonderful memories---U of M, Sigma Nu, fishing, skiing etc. Rest in peace Bill

Mr Steinbrenner was a great man- I´ve known him since I was born- from my times on Big Sky Lake to coming to bring soup to my dad (Bob Small) when he was very ill in his last days with cancer. Mr Steinbrenner was always caring and kind and lived life to the fullest. My prayers of peace to your family.

Bill was so genuine. There was always a story, a laugh and big smile. Our sincere condolences to the family.

I share your grief with the loss of Bill. He was a friend and true classmate and when I visited Missoula and able to speak to Bill, he always treated me so. For that, he will forever be in my memory. Thanks Bill, rest well my friend.

Wonderful memories of Bill, especially on the slopes, he was a good mentor telling me to "get up, get going" as he passed me time and time again as he went up and down the mountain! He also tried his best to teach Warren and me the method of fly fishing. No one was better! Always cheerful, always with a smile, willing to help! My only regret is not staying in touch with each other in the past years since George and Eileen passed away. May Bill rest in peace, with love and sympathy to all...

I only saw Bill a few times in my life, but we always had full and wonderful conversations. I was introduced to him by my uncle Bob Small. Bill was one of the original good guys.
