Not sure what to say?

I came across this and became overwhelm just thinking about the various lives that by dad touched. He indeed touched many, being a school teacher. Definitely is missed! Love always, your son, Stevie!

Sorry we couldn't attend the funeral. We had to leave town because of an emergency. Our prayers are with you. We know there is a place for Steve in heaven.

Peace to the family

Sympathy and love to the family. We will miss "Tex", but God wanted him to come home and rest.

To Rose and the family, my deepest
sympathy.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.
I remember "Tex". I was friends with "Honeybee" when I first met the two of you.
I moved to New York years later,
but I was at "Stevie's" wedding
in 1982. Honeybee (Carol) invited me.

Sincerely,
Beverly Joseph

There can be few words if any that will express this lost. Anyone who knew William (Tex.) Stephens can surely express fond memories. My memories go back to Villere Street. “Tex.” will always be a big brother, a great example of lifting oneself up by his on booth straps. He truly was an inspiration to all of us, the younger brothers, of the neighborhood. We are going to miss him because we truly loved him.

Hold on to your memories and let them guide you during this time of sadness. Our sympathy to you and your family.

May the grace of God be with the family, doing this time we love you
all dearly.

May the love of our Lord Jesus, and the lifetime memories of your beloved give you all the strenght needed to go on without his presence.
