STEYER, William Christopher Known as Bill, has passed just four days before his 93rd birthday. He joins his wife, the love of his life for 63 years, Margaret in the afterlife. Born in Pittsburg, PA, he worked as a bakery salesman delivering bread and bakery goodies door-to-door for over 40 years. In 1954, he moved his family to sunny California pulling a 36 foot trailer with all their possessions. The family lived in the trailer for one year before purchasing a home next to an orange grove in Anaheim, later to be known as Disneyland. Continuing as a Helms Bakery Salesman, he was known for his kindness and courteous manner towards all his customers and friends. Bill retired at age 62 and began traveling with his wife around the country in their RV up until 1998 when Marg preceded him. He lived his final year in Santa Rosa, CA with his daughter Janet Woodard and her husband Tom. He is also survived by his son William Steyer, Jr., and wife Janet of Oklahoma. He was a loving grandpa to seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held for the family. He will be laid to rest next to Marg in the Rose Garden at Melrose Abbey in Anaheim. Memorial donations may be made to Sutter VNA and Hospice, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
