Not sure what to say?

He certainly changed my life in honors English class my senior year 1963-64. So much happened to all of us when Kennedy died, Mr. Stringfellow helped us all feel deeply the gravity of the moment. I too wish I could have met him again since I've lived in Austin since 1985. He set me off into the world with a passion for deeper knowledge and trust in myself - a very precious gift for which I am deeply grateful.

I was a student of his at York High School during my senior year, 1970-1971. I still remember him with great respect and fondness; he was my favorite teacher of all time. We were high school students, but I never felt as though he were talking down to us. I wrote this on my blog in tribute to Mr. Stringfellow...

I always had the greatest respect for Bill, with whom I worked at York High School as an English teacher. My students who had Bill as a teacher also had the greatest admiration for him and some who did not have him as a teacher still regret their lack of fortune. May he rest in peace.

We new him personally as W. M. A distant relative who always admired W. M. A great Christian and minister in his early youth. Product of a great family.
