Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to Bill´s family. He was always a helpful person in his role as Engineer with Fish and Wildlife Service. Greatly respected amongst his peers. Bill was definitely "one of the good guys."

I wanted to send my sincere condolences to Bill's family. I knew Bill from working with him for three years while at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service office in Portland, OR. He was good friend and wonderful boss, and he will be missed tremendously. Thank you, Bill, for everything.

It's sad for me to learn of Bill Striplin's passing. Seeing his picture and obituary instantly brought back memories. I moved to Portland in 1983 as an attorney representing the bureaus of the U.S. Department of the Interior, including the US Fish & Wildlife Service. Bill was a seasoned professional engineer with years of service at that point, and I'd been in the Department for less than ten years. Looking back on my career, I always enjoyed working with engineers, and my background growing...

Please accept my deepest condolences. I served with Bill in the 104th. He was a fine officer, a great friend and a fine American. May he Rest In Peace. Gunther Hoffmann

Thelma and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Bill was an incredible and talented Man. Good, kind, thoughtful, organized and detailed. His impromtu Piano playing was a joy to behold, he could really command the Ivories, I remember the first time I witnessed him go to town on our Piano at a Christmas Party - very impressive and he had so much fun at it. I will always be grateful for Bill helping me start my career in Engineering. He had a great sense of humor and I always enjoyed my time...

Bill was a great solider and contributor to the Army and the 104th. I'm so glad I knew him and so sorry to hear that he passed.

Bill Striplin was my favorite go-to person on the 104th Division Staff for administrative assistance. He set the example for professionalism in supporting subordinate units in the 104th Division in his role as G-1 of the 104th. I have many fond memories of his staff visits to my units thru-out my career in the 104th Division. Rest in Peace, Bill.

Bill I have so many wonderful memories of you to share with your Great Granddaughter like how your gift wrapping was so perfect I think it was measured with a ruler or how you would watch your Grandkids swim in the pool you had put in for your kids. You had perfect penmanship it looked like it was typed, you loved Kraft Mac n cheese, cheese popcorn (so do I) spaghetti and meatballs. You were a excellent piano player and your memory recall was impeccable like a computer program. You worked...

I´m very sorry to learn of Bill´s passing. I´m hoping he and Roger are laughing and trading war stories.
