Not sure what to say?

Dear Sharon, I´m just reading Bill´s Obituary. Even after all these years, I think about you, Bill and the boys, that I loved to babysit with on Northwood Rd. I remember traveling to Carthage with you and Bill and meeting your brother. I had a horrible crush on him. I hope you are doing well and that this message gets to you. Take care and God Bless, Susan Fulwiler Fister November 31, 2024

I am so sorry to hear that Bill passed away. I knew him because we served on the Texas Historical Foundation Board together as directors. He was a very kind, friendly, inclusive person, and I enjoyed knowing him and Sharon. Barbara Gandy

I first met Bill almost 45 years ago when I was still fairly new in the insurance industry and he took a chance and hired me. When I moved back to Texas 30 years ago I was excited to learn they needed someone, and even more so when he hired me on again. He was truly a kind and caring man and will be greatly missed by all those who have known him.

I was lucky enough to be one of the young professionals Bill mentored and he was kind, encouraging and had the utmost integrity. We still say "Strotherisms" in our office and remember fondly his homemade eggnog and plaid pants at Christmas time. Our prayers for your family - he was a gem of a human.

It has been many years since I saw William. I was probably still in my teens, when I was in Boy Scout Troop 72 in Dallas along with some of his sons. He was very active in the troop and I greatly admired him. Though he may never have known it, he played a very meaningful part in my life. My parents had their health insurance through him, and I was covered under them. When I had two brain surgeries in my twenties, which would ultimately cure my life-long epilepsy, through my father I know that...

Condolences to the Strother family. Mr. Strother seems to have cast a long shadow marked by integrity and love for his family. Certainly, a lesson to be followed.

condolences to Bill's family. His contemporaries in the insurance industry knew him as a talented man of integrity. RIP, Bill.
