Not sure what to say?

Billy, his brother Jack, Norman and I grew up together in the bronx. We played endless games of stickball, basketball and all other Bronx street games. Billy, Jack & I walked to high school together (Evander Childs). We drank beer at Hank's bar before the army. We were stationed at Fort Benning together and I spent every weekend at his off base house. I asked Billy to be in my wedding party but he was going to college in Colorado. Always knew he was going to be a huge success since he...

Thanks for all the good times at work my friend!

Bill was a friend of our brother, Clint in Viet Nam. My two sisters and I met him when we attended the Rolling Thunder Run in D.C. in 2019. He presented each of us a framed photo of the last picture taken of our brother. We have great love and appreciation for Bill who went out of his way to present to each of the framed photo, but he also took the time to talk to us and answer questions we had about our brother's last days. We are forever grateful to Bill.

What a great man, we will miss you and your wonderful smile. Always there to help all who needed him. I can remember especially how wonderful he was to his family and friends. I remember how wonderful he was to his loving wife Barb, bringing her lunch every day as she worked cutting hair , with a kiss and off he would be with a smile To your family we send our love, prayers and know that Our Heavenly Father will have a special angel with him, Amen.

I worked for Bill at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Inspector General, Denver Regional Office, for about 20 years. We had a lot of good times on audit trips, office parties, etc. Bill talked glowingly to me about his wife and two sons. He challenged me to start running, which I still do to this day. My condolences to Bill's family and friends.

I´m saddened to learn of this. Bill was one of a kind and I will not forget him.

Our sincere condolences to Barb, Willie and Family, Cody and the entire Suhre Families. I go back with Bill and Barb over 45 years of friendship, Brother, and family. Barbara and the Suhre family: please accept the condolences of the veterans of the 11th Armored Cavalry - the 11th's veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. Bill was one of us, one of our own. William R. Suhre will be well remembered as an honorable trooper and conscientious Patrol Leader in Vietnam; whose very presence brought comfort and support to his fellow troopers. Bill extended that care through the last many years of service to the 11th ACVVC and for his fellow veterans of Vietnam and...

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
