So many great memories with Coach!!!! I had the honor to be his d-line coach on so many of his great defenses at St. Vincent. He helped me in so many ways to develop as a coach. I know Bill and my dad(George Koniaris) are in Heaven having a beer together criticizing every every coaching decision ever made!!! I am very thankful to have known Bill and to have had him in my life as a mentor and a friend. Rest in Peace, Coach!!!

Ahhh, the Chili Dog. academy classmate, (1978), kept us all laughing during lunch, balls-out skier, great friend to many, and one of the zaniest characters I´ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. You will be immensely missed, my friend

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Chili was a great person and a good cop.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Bill, he was a pleasure to work with and a fun guy to play with. Rest easy Chili, I'll miss you

To the Sweeney Family, we are sorry to read of Bill's passing, another one gone too soon. We will keep Bill and your families in our prayers.

Chili dog I met him when I was a freshman at Sacread Heart HS. He was my linebacker coach throughout the years. He became a mentor for me and coached me again at Sacred Heart high school and then at Marin JC and helped me get into Sacramento state to play football. He was like an older brother / uncle to me. I helped him move from the city to Noato back in the day and attend his wedding. I been with him at his Tahoe house even went on a trip with him others to Hawaii a long, long time ago....
