Mr. William Bill Swift

Swift, William E. “Bill�, 71 of Providence Forge, went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 22, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Inez and William R. Swift and brother, Clyde Swift. Bill is survived by his loving, devoted wife and best friend, Virginia Lee Swift; children, Diane Pappas (Chris), Jeff Swift, David Swift (Dianna), Cindy Seamster (Jimmy), Faye Gunter, Wanda Seamster (Mark) and David Hylton, Jr.; brother, Glenn Swift (Annie); sister, Joyce Herring; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was respected and loved by all and will be greatly missed. Bill was a fulltime Dad and retired from Manson and Utley with over 30 years of service. He had a strong spiritual faith and was a strong faithful man. Bill lived life one day at a time. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, August 25 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue where services will be held at 2 pm, Friday August 26. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice and Palliative Care, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Richmond VA 23227.
