Dear Tallon Family,
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. The Colonel taught me much through his son Mark, one of my dearest roommates in college. When he least expected visitors Colonel Tallon welcomed me and my husband into his family holiday celebrations. He also taught me social protocol which I have carried with me to this day. For this I am ever thankful to the Colonel and his wonderful family.
May peace come to you all soon.

Peggy and I extend our deepest sympathies Mark. While I was serving with the 101st, I had heard his name but regretfully, never had the honor of meeting him.
