William Timothy “Tim” Ferguson, 63, of Mullins, passed away after a brief illness at his home in Mullins, during the evening of Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Tim, as most of his friends knew him, was the baby brother of five siblings born to the late William Jackson “Bill” Ferguson and the late Pattie Lee Stroud Ferguson, on December 30, 1960, in Mullins, South Carolina. Tim grew up and lived most of his life in the Mullins Community. He graduated from Mullins High School and was employed with Meherrin Ag & Chemical Company for many years, until recently, where he went to work with Harbor Freight Tools in Dillon. Tim loved the beach; he would go down every weekend he could to fish from the pier and to get away for a little bit. He was a die-hard Clemson Tigers fan. Tim bled orange and let everyone know it. He also was an avid NASCAR fan. When Tim wasn’t watching the race on television, you could find him at the Lake View Motor Speedway in the stands taking in the racing action live. He was a former member of the Mullins Jaycees and was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.
Tim is survived by his family: his brother, Leonard Ferguson of Florence; and his sisters: Rhonda Ferguson of Florence, Sandra Larrimore and her husband, Darrell of Brittons Neck, and Joy Lewis and her husband Tony of Loris; his three nieces: Erin (Joshua) Fogle, Casey (Jordy) Hughes, and Ashley (Eric) Collins; and his nephew, Stewart (Heather) Lewis; eight great nieces and nephews, and his fur baby, Budda.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 20th, from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home in Mullins.
A memorial service for Tim will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jay Black and Donald Smith officiating.
Memorials for Tim may be made to Spring Branch Baptist Church, 6710 Church Loop Rd., Nichols, South Carolina 29581. A guestbook for Mr. Ferguson is available on our website or you may post to our Facebook page.

While I didn't know Tim well, I had the pleasure of meeting him as he was like family to my sister and her family. Tim loved David, Misty, AnaClaire, Carrington and Lucy and they loved him. They were so blessed blessed to have a friend like him in their lives. On many occasions, I would be visiting them in Mullins and in would come Tim with a birthday cake for one of my nieces. He was so kind and so very special to them. My deepest condolences to all of Tim's friends and family.

We went fishing, we were in the Mullins Jaycees , we went to Lake View Race Track and watched the races. He treated me like a brother. He was a very good person.
