Bill Tinkler was my beloved Principal when I taught at Roosevelt Junior High. It was both his first year there and mine. He was a wonderful leader and innovator who looked for the personal best in everyone, from the wiggliest kindergartener to the staunchest "old guard" faculty member. I respected him for his integrity, his vision, his faith and his drive. Improving the quality of life for his students was uppermost in all Bill did. Bill's smile could light up a room.
