William L. Tompkins

William Lee Tompkins, age 94 of Patterson, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Clark’s Mountain Care Center in Piedmont. He was born August 30, 1931, the son of John Wesley and Florence (Davis) Tompkins.

After many years of farming, he decided to retire and move to Patterson in 1989 from Pollard, Arkansas. William was a veteran having served in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents John and Florence Tompkins, he is preceded in death by six brothers; Glen Tompkins, Ray Tompkins, Chester Tompkins, Slyvester Tompkins, Melvin Tompkins, Jerry Tompkins, three sisters; Betty Davis, Ruby Pierce, and Dorothy Martin.

Survivors include one brother, Theron Tompkins, one sister, Margie O’Donnell, along with many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be announced once available.
