Not sure what to say?

How fortunate we've been to spend time with our family and celebrate a very special man. Bill was kind, genuine, and good. He was an example of a life well lived and he will be missed. Love to Caroline, Sarah, Joe, John, Louisa, Mae, and Jack, Elizabeth and Beatrice.

Mary and I will miss Bill as a friend, active member of St. Mary's, colleague on the parish finance committee, fellow golfer and veteran, and for our shared interest in good books. It is a great privilege to have known him.

Dear Caroline , Sarah and Jack, We are so saddened to learn of Bill's sudden passing. I got this word in Norfolk, Virginia today (4/28) from mutual friends. The Beatty's mourn the passing of one of their own and for me, Bill and I are of that generation of the Beatty family first cousins who generation is now thinner. Bill and I are 1st cousins and just a few months apart in age and Helen Beatty Toner was my father, George Edward Beatty's sister . What a family they were numbering 10...

I had the good fortune of knowing him because we each had our professional offices in the same building at 814 Williams St. Caroline and John for sure his energy and kindness and humor will be missed. I hope you are comforted by the fact he did live life with energy ,zest and kindness and anyone who met him was better for it without doubt. Being a man of faith says it all. May our God take him underling and also comfort you, other...

His response was direct but kind, and I couldn't help but walk away feeling that if I didn't do it, I would let him down! Well, he was one of the people that convinced me to do it, and I did. I will forever miss his smile and that great, stern look he always gave me when he thought about responses to my questions.

Shocked and saddened to learn of Bill's passing. It was many years ago at our Tuesday night soirées at Cyr arena playing hockey when we met, which of course with Bill was the seed of friendship. We traded many stories of business, personal experiences, and many comical casual observations of life! In particular was one about Cabin John, MD...where my wife's sister and husband live. Seems it was there that a particular "bistro" was frequented by Bill and his fellow Hoyas from Georgetown!! ...
