Not sure what to say?

Bill Towe or Bill as he preferred to be called was special to me. He always had a way of making you feel special. I will miss him very much.

Betsy Jean, Bill and I grew up in Wilson and went to school together. I was sorry to learn of Bill's death and sorry that we were out of town on October 24 - 26 and missed seeing the announcement in the paper. Two other friends of ours, El Nadal Clark and Willis Briley died in September this year. What wonderful memories I have of the fun times we all enjoyed in Wilson. I send my sympathy to you and to your children and grandchildren. He was a fun person and I cherish the memories of...

Betsy Jean, Maria, Christopher, I have just learned of Bill's death and am saddened very much. I am proud to be his first cousin. Kitty

Remembering your goodness, your love of your fellow man

The cause for equality and social justice has lost a champion. I knew Bill as a CASA Board member and as a friend. We had long talks about many things- he was so well educated and versed in so many areas. He told me once to not worry about negative press - that it meant you were doing something! My deepest condolences go out to Bill's family at your time of loss.

Maria and Chris, our thoughts are with you both. Uncle Bill was a special man, caring and always willing to help his extended family. He and I had lively conversations when I was younger and as I grew older. He forgave me for messing up his reel to reel stereo back when I stayed with Aunt Betsy Jean and Uncle Bill. Cherish your memories! Susan

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

When I first came to work for CASA, Bill was on our board, helping the cause of quality, affordable housing for everyone. Not long after, with Bill's coaxing, I found myself working at the Peace Booth. He had a great laugh and was such a likeable guy. Rest in peace my friend. You and Betsy are surely getting caught up and enjoying the peace you worked so hard for all your life.
