Not sure what to say?

Bill, I'm thinking of you tonight. You are missed.

Mr Towner was my favorite teacher. He always made me feel special and would let me stay after school and help him grade papers.

Still thinking of Bill Towner. He was a wonderful friend to my mother Virginia Galloway when she taught at Harrison Elementary School, and so kind to me & my sister, who went there, too! I remember when my mom had had foot surgery, he would come by in the mornings & pick us up & take us to school. I also remember Mr Towner being the best librarian ever at Kimball Elementary when I substituted there in the 70's! He had built an unbelievable collection of diverse & multicultural books there,...

I had the privilege of attending Kimball Elementary while Mr. Towner was its librarian. Though that was 25 plus years ago, I still remember his wonderful story-reading that always had every single person in the class completely engaged. May he rest in peace.

I went to Kimball Elementary in the 80's and loved going to the library to have Mr. Towner read stories aloud to us. He instilled a love and respect for books, reading, and the library that I have & will hold onto my entire life. Thanks, Mr. Towner!

I have such fond memories of Bill when I was attending UCC church with my Dad and brothers. He was such a kind, caring man. I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I had been able to spend more time with him.

Bill's active participation in WLMA is a model for me in my work promoting school libraries in Washington State. From watching Bill in the Kimball library at the start of my teaching career almost 30 years ago to having a chance to chat with Bill at the 2011 WLMA Conference in Spokane are treasured memories.

My Dad!

Uncle Bill was my 5th grade teacher at Harrison Elementary when he took a few of us on a camping trip I'll never forget. Though we lost touch over the years, I never forgot him either. I remember the Spanish he taught us along with a love for literature. Hey Bill, I became a writer. Thank you.
