I have wonderful memories growing up with the Townsleys in Beaumont... I was even nicknamed Tiana Townsley because I was there so often. I gave Mr. Townsley garbage bags full of pine needles for his flower beds as a Christmas gift every year. He was always very thankful and reminded me not to forget to bring them each year. Serendipitously, I ended up living in the Austin area as did he, Kathleen, Billy and even Rebecca (for awhile) As an adult, I grew to appreciate his humor and intellect!!...

Kathleen and Rebecca, I amas so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

As a very young lawyer I was assigned the task of attending several weeks of depositions that Bill had scheduled. He treated me like I was the most important person in the room (of about 20 attorneys). Over time I realized how well he treated everyone.

Because of his demeanor, some young lawyers thought he might be a pushover, but that was never the case. He was always prepared on the facts and the law, and knew how to treat every witness with the upmost respect, even when they...
