William H. "Bill" Tremayne

On dark days, Bill's life is my reminder that good truly exists in humanity.

Bill set a civic example that I can only hope to emulate. He was an icon at Prudential and in New Jersey, providing outstanding guidance and direction. We need more statesmen like Bill Tremaynes in these troubled times.

Even though we worked for the same company for 20 years (Bill in the executive suite in Newark, me in various IT positions in Roseland and Holmdel), I did not meet Bill until the dedication ceremony for the Greater Brunswick Charter School which would not exist without a grant from the Prudential Foundation.
After my business unit was sold-off during de-mutualization, Bill and Lora were 'early adopters' of my IT support franchise, Geeks On Call.
A grander humored and good-natured...

I had the pleasure to serve with Bill on the governing boards of both the New Brunswick Development Corporation and the New Brunswick Culture Center. Never once in the countless meetings we had together did I see Bill get flapped or contentious. He was always the voice of reason. Bill will be missed by so many of us who had the good fortune to know him and to work with him. God bless and rest in peace, Bill.
