Not sure what to say?

I am always saying to my husband " Dr. Tumlin said this or Dr. Tumlin taught me that". If it wasn't for his help in recovery I wouldn't be alive today. His legacy will live on forever.

Well, Bill, you are in the big meeting in the sky. I will miss you greatly. I meet Bill in 1986. He took care of me and helped me stay sober. He was my doctor until he retired. I wanted to go to the funeral but I wasn't physically able to make the trip. Nancy, I know exactly what you are going through. My wife will be gone 17 years this coming June. If you ever need anything feel free to call on me. I know you miss him but we both know he is in a better place. I guess I need to stop...

My grandmother, Mary Paul was one of Dr. Tumlin’s patients. She lived under his care until she died at age 99. Although she had a tremendous crush on him, she was old school about men touching her. One of our fondest memories of Dr. Tumlin was the look on his face when she bit him as he tried to listen to her heart! Our sympathies to the family.

Dr. Tumlin taught me a lot about life, medicine and people that can not be learned from a book. He guided me from the beginning to be compassionate, patient, kind, treat patients as people, treat them the way you want to be treated or your family members, tolerance, give shots and draw blood when I was scared to death at the beginning of my internship, techniques, knowledge and so much more. I think between him and Dr. Schofield I had the best teachers and role models of all.
I hope the...

Where do I even start, I see “Billy” Dr Tumlin as my angel!!! The time he took out of his day or night to talk to me via phone about my battle with breast cancer and what He truly believed was the best protocol for my treatments!!! I took in every word he spoke to heart and never faltered!!! I did exactly what He suggested and then passed it on to help treat my mom as her breast cancer came back with a vengeance being metastatic in her bones!!! With Billy’s advice and years of research He had...

Our deepest sympathies to Dr. Tumlin's family and friends.

He was one of the most generous, giving, compassionate, informative, respected, loving, patient, smartest men I have ever known and I will truly miss. He taught me most of all patients are people too, not just a dollar signs or cattle to be rushed in and out of your office without truly hearing them and taking of their needs and worries and making them feel important and wanted. This lesson has followed me for over 35 years and I'm trying to keep that spirit alive every where I go in tribute...

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Your husband, Dad, and Papa was truly a wonderful man who brought so much comfort and care to all who knew him. He was a true friend and I am so thankful to have known him. I will miss his stories and laughter. His love for the Lord and testimony will continue to reach many. I pray that your wonderful memories shared will bring you much needed peace and comfort. With love, Denise Vickery
