To the Underhill family, Mr. Underhill was my supervising teacher when I student taught at Shaker in 1974. HIs guidance set me on an 11-year career as a French teacher. My condolences on the loss of your wonderful husband and father.

He shared his love of the language and appreciation of the culture with his students, in tandem with an ability to teach both.
