Not sure what to say?

William R. Van Cleave was a great professor. He spoke with real world experience, not academic theory. He stood out as a man of accomplishment. His class was demanding and enlightening. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a student of his. Rest in Peace, Professor Van Cleave and thank-you for your service to our nation and to education.

I had the pleasure of serving as Dr. Van Cleave's intern at USC when I was a student at Palisades High School in 1981 - 82. We stayed in touch and got together several times when I was at Georgetown University. Alas, we drifted. A true pioneer, leader, professor. Fight on!

A wonderful Uncle.

Bill Van Cleave was a friend of mine back when he was in Springfield. He was one of the few conservative professors at an otherwise liberal Missouri State University (Southwest Missouri State University). May God bless you in this time of personal need.

Bill started as a customer of mine in the automotive service business then became the dearest of friends. Bill I treasure the arguments over raiders/chiefs and usc/Illinois. FITE-ON Bill.

A friend and classmate of Bill at Chilicothe High School.
