Not sure what to say?

The best boss I ever had. I was new at the firm and relatively inexperienced as a legal secretary. He was new to the firm as well. I had done a letter for him. He signed it and brought it back to me. As he put it on my desk, he said Im so glad youre here! Another time, he and the other attorneys sat through a presentation on the WP equipment. He told me later that he had not understood a word of it. I told him not to worry, understanding and working with it was my job. I had already worked...

Think about Steve often and fondly. Always remembered.

It was with shock and sadness that I read of Steve's passing. I worked for him at Mika Meyers. A true gentleman, scholar and friend, and a great boss. Bless you, Steve. Enjoy your eternal life.

Dear Vanderploeg Family:

I am so sorry for your great loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Steve during one of his Florida visits with my brother Tim. To know Steve was to love him--he was handsome, bright, and captivating.

Thinking of you during this sad time.

Best always,

Linda Moses

I was saddened to read about Steve's death. I worked for him briefly at Mika Meyers early in his career there. I was early in my career as a legal secretary. He was a great boss and a great friend. He will always be in my prayers and memories.
