William Lee VanWingerden

Just found out Bill/Cod has passed. Knew him through high school and on. Some amazing times. Wish we’d had one more chance to catch up. Thoughts and prayers to family.

Bill showed me incredible warmth and hospitality when I relocated to Bellingham in 2004. We shared many joyful moments and he was one of the few who attended both of my weddings. His presence will be deeply missed. Sending my heartfelt sympathies to his loved ones.

Fond memories of Bill at Sehome. May he rest in peace.

Bill's brother Jay was a good friend of mine in our younger years. I can remember countless good times in their home down the street, as well as their place on Lake Whatcom... and Bill was a big part of my VanWingerden experience. He possessed warmth and humor, along with a quick smile. Best of all, he was not above creating fun for Jay and I... even though he was way, way older - a whole 4 years!!!
