Not sure what to say?

Bill was a great friend of My wife, Judy, and I. We spent many hours together in Syracuse, NY, and Central NJ. He and Marion were great people to know, be friendly with, and have dinner with, We will miss him and never forget him.

You will always live in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Michael,

My cousin, Marilyn Peiffer Gerberich, of Lebanon, sent me a copy of your Dad's obituary. I was worried when I did not receive my usual Christmas card from him and I am very sorry to hear about his death. You probably do not remember me, but my Mom, Ruth Peiffer Tisdel, is your Dad's cousin and we live in Seattle. As a kid when I visited Lebanon your grandparents, Aunt Effie, Marian and Bill were relatives that I enjoyed visiting and I remember outings with your folks...

Bill Walborn was like a father to my husband and I, and very much a grandfather to my children. Even though we were not blood relatives, he was still family in every sense of the word. He drove to California with my mother on many occasions to spend time with my family. He attended soccer games, came for holidays, and vacationed at the beach with my family multiple times. He was truly a part of our family. Bill was one of the greatest individuals that I have ever had the pleasure of...

Bill was my best friend at Friendship Village of Tempe. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Bill Walborn was my mother"s companion and my "stepdad" of sorts. He came into my life and was very much a constant source of strength, understanding, laughter and lightheartedness. Bill was a loving Grandpa to my son Liam, whose photo accompanied him to the heavens. Bill was a solid ray of light and was a real pleasure to spend time with. I know from speaking to him shortly before his passing that he was sad to be leaving, but grateful to those whose hearts he had touched and who had...

I lit a candle for you Bill, on the evening of your journey to heaven, or perhaps it was the next morning, and it stayed lit for a day and half non-stop. My wishes and prayers were for your Godspeed journey to heaven to reunite with God, your wife and daughter, parents, and friends. You will forever be in our hearts, and we thank you for being like a father to us, and for everything that you taught us. We love you Bill! Lastly, we send our deepest sympathy and love to everyone in the Walborn...

My sincere sympathies to the family of William Walborn. He was my very favorite teacher at Richland and ELCO!

Everyone loved him. He was such a dynamic teacher who taught with a lot of passion, but the characteristic I remember the most about him was his "kindness!" He left a lasting impression on my life!

I am a 1962 graduate of ELCO (Richland). Mr Walborn's Problems of Democracy class was one of my favorite classes. He was a great teacher and an inspiration to all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with the family
