Not sure what to say?

Dear Barb and family
We were so deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was a great man and a dear friend.

Bill leaves us with warm memories of the friendship we shared. We reflect back on those few but most enjoyable years that our young families spent together in Toronto, the get-togethers, the family camping trip, and those few times that Bill let Gary win at morning racquetball. And, of course surviving our time in Scarborough!

Our mutual visits between Toronto and...

My memories of Bill at both RIT and RWC are of a true gentleman and scholar. He led our efforts to serve students with good humor and quiet intellect. My thoughts and prayers go to you all in the Walence family at this time.

Dear family and loved ones of Bill, I knew Bill through the Last Bass Outpost. I will always remember and be grateful to him for sharing his ideas, knowledge and humor. I'm happy to have known him. I am very sorry for your loss.
My sincerest condolencies.

Bill was a valued friend of mine, met online and with whom I shared a long correspondence via a musical interest Internet forum. He was a true gentleman with an inquiring mind, and his instrument crafting was of the highest caliber. I miss him. Al Powell, Colorado

Dear Barbara, Natalie, and Benjamin, I knew Bill through our mutual love of bass guitars. I will always remember and be grateful to him for his unshakable optimism and kindness, along with his generosity in sharing his ideas and knowledge. My life was better for knowing him. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am really sorry for your loss. I got to know Bill as a colleague at RIT with whom I had the opportunity to work in a project for over a year. He was deeply committed to serve his students and to help them do good. The Rochester community has lost a remarkable citizen.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I had the pleasure of knowing Bill through my work at RIT. He was a wonderful mentor to me as I completed my doctoral dissertation.

My heart felt sympathy and condolences go out to Bill's family and friends. It was a pleasure making music with Bill in the Second Chance band. His passion for music was eclipsed only by his wit, his humor and his goodhearted nature.
