A wonderful guy to spend time with. Informed, intellectually curious, involved in community and world events, and witty. When the White House called with the offer to stand for Scalia's seat on the Federal Court of Special Appeals, he preferred to continue as a teacher, showing at once his humility and humanity. A consequential life, well lived. We miss you, Larry.
