Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of playing baseball as a kid with Bill and other kids in the area.We played war also and he always wanted to be a Marine. Later, I was fortunate to play HS ball with him. He was an amazing hitter, but pretty slow. Thus led the league in triples. In the spring of 1967 I took the Marine Officers test. I visited his parents while he and Pauncho were in Vietnam to find out word on them. On one visit they received a western union telegram notifying them Pauncho had been killed...

A very kind and special man with a wonderful smile that he always shared. A huge presence in our community.

My fondest high school memories at DeSales were competing against Connell and the Bill Walker/Mick Ewart led baseball teams. We had some great battles and the friendships that evolved are what I miss most. Coach Walker was one of kind and will be missed. God Bless you Coach and prayers to the entire Walker family.

Such a Great guy that meant so much to so many kids. Drivers Ed was always a treat with Mr. Walker and the teacher brake

Connell is not the same without Bill Walker. I´ll always hold the fun memories of playing Trivial Pursuit with Bill and Patti, and surprise visits from Bill and Mick Ewart. He, along with Patti, raised three teenagers into fantastic adults. They are his noble legacy.

We always enjoyed Bill at Naches Baseball for many years. He followed his sons in all their sports and coaching. Then he followed his grandkids. He was enthusiastic and supportive of his family and their friends. Bill will be missed.

I don't think there was a time that Bill didn't make us all laugh. He was a big man with a big laugh and a big heart. So thankful to have known him when I worked in Connell and to have been able to be in Patty and Bill's wedding. Big hugs to all of Bill's family on the loss of this wonderful man.
