My dad taught me to treat bugs (especially spiders) with respect and kindness. When I was real little I had this medicine I absolutely hated so he tasted it to see what the fuss was about. He said it tasted like gasoline and that I wouldn´t have to take it anymore. He taught me how to tie my shoes and rip off bandaids. I used to be so afraid of ripping them off that I left one on my arm for weeks before he sat me down and explained why he needed to rip it off. It hurt like hell but I´m glad...
