Not sure what to say?

Dr Warren operated on my daughter in the early 90s. I remember him as a down to earth and extremely skillful physician. I wish he could have lived longer. His personality and skills are greatly missed.

Dr Warren operated on my husband on March 22 1990. At the time he told me I think I got it all. All the other doctors told me that if I was lucky my husband would live 5 years. I looked for him on the internet to tell him I am the luckiest person ever as my husband turned 29 again on the 20th. I was so saddened to read of his pasting. Dr. Warren was the kindest person that I had the luck to cross my path.

I just heard the news today and I am heartbroken. Doc always made me laugh and being the kind soul he was sat with me during the nights of my surgeries. One of the last things he said to me after a second surgery was "You are like a Timex watch, you take a licking and keep on ticking" He will be missed. I loved him dearly, I will never forget him. Someday we may meet again Doc. May the angels keep you softly wrapped in their arms.

Dr Warren was one of the greatest Thoracic Surgeons and an all around wonderful gentleman. I never knew he and I shared the same birth month and year, only 14 days apart. He discovered a leison in one of my ribs in 2004 or 2005 at Cook County Hospital. He advised me to have the rib removed, but due to extenuating circumstances of life I never submitted to it. Again in 2012, he told me it needed to come out. This time the delay was due to a major back surgery. I learned a few months back...

I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of my favorite doctor, Dr Warren, he literally saved my life and gave me hope to keep fighting. Me and my family adore Dr Warren and the humor he always shared with us. You will forever be in my heart Dr warren. RIP

Dr Warren "stole my rib!" (Inside joke) He performed surgery on me and Iwas fixed. We had long visits and talked food and prep technique. ( I am a chef) Fun at the doc's office...who knew!!?? Unique man whom I and my family are grateful for brushing by. Best to his family and friends...

Descanse en paz. JRI

I had the honor of writing a paper with him as a medical student at Rush and interacting with him as a medical student as well as a resident in Dermatology also at Rush. His office was adjacent to ours in the Professional Building for several years, so I was fortunate enough to be able to cross paths with Dr. Warren on many occasions. He really embodied many of the best qualities of a physician, surgeon, and scholar. What a wonderful obituary and life. My condolences to his wife and...
