Not sure what to say?

There are so many memories I wouldn´t even know where to begin except to say every time I was in Bill´s company it was a blessing. He was one of the great ones! Rest In Peace

Lynne and I loved Bill and Susie. We knew Susie from Scarsdale, and Bill and I worked together in the aging field for several years. Bill shared my zeal for finding opportunities for productive employment by old men and women. Bill modeled our hopes himself, living a life of service in many entities, in Middletown and beyond. Our condolences to his family and friends as we salute a man of unusual grace and caring.

Bill was the very definition of a Wesleyan person. Bright, inquisitive, selfless, kind, eternally cheerful, and always wonderfully open to new ideas and alternative thinking. Plus he was pretty handsome. His influence lives on across a broad spectrum of Wes alums and those in the many other communities he touched. Many thanks to his family for sharing him with us, and may he rest in eternal peace.

We enjoyed his company only a couple of weeks ago at Forest City Brewery. It was a fun evening that we all enjoyed. We are grateful for his friendship with the whole Schilke family for decades. Peace, prayers and blessings to all who loved him.

Our deepest condolences to Bill´s family. He was a real gentleman and had a wonderful smile and he enjoyed a good conversation. May he Rest In Peace. He will be missed by all who knew him.

My sincere condolences. A loving, entertaining gentleman. Always reaching out to others and so welcoming to all. He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed

Sad to see this about Bill. I was a good professional colleague he at Wesleyan in Development and I was at University of Hartford Alumni and Development 1970s. What a great guy and a true professional. I was happy to call him friend. RIP you are well remembered Bill.
