Not sure what to say?

I had the honor and privilege to meet Buck through his dear wife, Marie, when she and I worked together on the FFAM Executive Board at Ft. Leavenworth. Buck was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Marie now has her "sweetie" with her for eternity. May he rest in peace. Our deepest condolences to the entire family.

I delivered Buck and Marie's mail for several years. They were among my very favorite customers. They treated me with incredible kindness, and I loved our visits. Their Christmas gifts to me were so thoughtful and personal. I will always remember them both with great fondness.

My parents rented a historic house in Leavenworth from the Weafers in the early 1980s and we had many of their "little houses" including the first ones my parents gave me upon my Army career. I still drive by that house in Leavenworth and fondly remember that little bit of the Weafers I got to know.

When our children were toddlers, Buck and Marie lived next door to us. He created a "magic garden" in the woods behind his house. We could always see them from our deck, but they thought that they were in a fairyland. Buck and Marie were incomparable neighbors who truly cared about others - young and old.

Buck's family, I enjoyed getting to know him for the past few months. I will miss him so much! He will always had a big smile on his face, I loved his big heart towards everyone. My favorite moment with him was asking for Mint Choc Chip ice cream when he was ready for dessert. Again I will miss him so much, I am so sorry for your loss!
