William Fred Webber

So sorry to hear that Fred has passed away. I had the pleasure of working for and with Fred for over 30 years. He was held in the highest regard by the entire Science and Technology community that his group supported. While Fred could be stern and always insisted that those who worked for him met his exacting standards, he was also wickedly funny and had a great laugh that he shared freely. Condolences to the family. I have very fond memories of Fred. He had a great influence on my career. I was scared to death of Fred when I first worked in his group, but came to realize that if I could meet his expectations I would be exceeding everyone else´s. Fred always made meetings more interesting.
