Not sure what to say?

I just received this very sad news. It was a great blessing to meet and travel with Fr. Bill in 2014 when my wife and I traveled on pilgrimage to Rome and Constantinople. Fr Bill was a wonderful person and a holy priest. May his soul rest in peace within the bosom of Abraham and May His Memory Be Eternal!

I did not know Fr. Wegher, but he lived in the same retired priest residence as Fr. Phil Schmitter who concelebrated his burial. Fr. Phil was deeply saddened by his death and highly regarded his goodness and love for Christ as well as his strength and will in overcoming his personal struggles. His presence will be missed so much at the retired priests' residence. He will be prayed for at their regular masses, I am sure. I will also pray for the heavenly rest of Fr. Bill Wegher.

Father Bill was on our pilgrimage in OCTOBER 2014 to Rome and Istanbul with the Byzantine Catholics and Orthodox Christians as well as Latin Rite Catholics; He celebrated Sunday Mass for us in ROME. I am so sorry to learn he has passed away and while still so young. God has gained another soul, 'Of Blessed Memory' _ I know there is a reason I looked on the internet today. His funeral is over, and those of us from the Pilgrimage trip will be praying for his repose. Glory to Jesus Christ...

Fr Bill was not only a compassionate priest but a gifted speaker.I remember how his homily at HOLY FAMILY in Grand Blanc was so uplifting and inspirational as it always related to everyday life. My wife and I got to know him personally when he came up to visit us in Petoskey with his mom Rose.We would play Mexican Domino all night and talk about food and interesting places he spent time during his early priesthood. He made me realize that a priest is just a regular guy that you can have fun...

Fr Bill blessed my life, enriched my faith with his great knowledge and example. Heavenly Father, May Fr Bill find his glory as Your angels welcome him into Paradise. Bless his family and loved ones with peace and comfort.
