Bill was held in high respect in Conrail's Design & Construction Department. He really knew his stuff and was always pleasant to work with.

Bill on right on inspection and repair planning for Chicago movable bridge

Bill was a great railroad engineer and a mentor to so many of us in Conrail's bridge department. He maintained a delightful sense of humor too, which at Conrail was quite an achievement. He will be remembered fondly by all of us who worked with him.

Bill on right, during inspection and problem solving at movable bridge.

Bill was a co-worker and friend during my years at Conrail Engineering Dept. We worked closely on many bridge projects all over the system. I enjoyed our time traveling around the railroad and learned a lot of his extensive knowledge of railroad bridges. Rest in peace Bill, you will long be remembered.

I was an associate of Bill Wehner in the Engineering Dept of Conrail for many years. We worked closely together on many company projects. I learned a lot from him. We spent many hours together seeing the railroad and I enjoyed his pleasant personality and dedication to his work. Rest In Peace Bill.
