Dr. Weidner was one of the greatest people that I have ever come in contact with. He was such a positive influence on the lives of our family. My daughter, Beth Brinley, and I loved him so much that we traveled about 6 hour every week for her to continue her speech lessons. She was a client of his in speech for nearly ten years after she suffered a severe stroke. He gave us so much "hope" when there seemed to be little hope. I didn't know my "Uncle Bill" that well until my senior year in High School when he suggested to my father that I college visit to Auburn University. After one tailgate and AU football game I was sold. Financially I couldn't stay at Auburn, but Bill and Jean were very helpful to me and "Uncle Bill" gave me a lot of great advice and guidance that I have carried with me. So sorry to hear of your loss. Dr. Weidner was a mentor and friend while I was at Auburn. He kept me in school and helped me go on to graduate school. He was a true friend to my family as well. You all are in our prayers.
