Not sure what to say?

I had mad respect for Mr Wenner. He was just as respectful towards us young teens also. A very fine man indeed.

Judge Wenner was a gentleman of the highest order. While serving as one of his law clerks, I would hear him say on occasion "I have an important job, but I am not an important man." That was quintessentially him. He always put himself last and those around him first. I look upon my short year with Judge Wenner with great fondness and I am the better for having served under him. What a beautiful man.

Judge Wenner is one of a kind in my life. What a wise legal mentor, but more importantly he was a good man to the core. His love for his wife and family was crystal clear in all that he did. He set the bar high, but did so with a wonderful smile and so much love. I pray our society has more like you Judge Wenner. My best to Peter and Eleanor and families; he was so proud of you.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Judge William Wenner. It was a privilege to serve with Bill on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He was a delightful colleague and a valuable and dedicated member of the Court. He will be sorely missed.

Mr. Wiliam (Billy) Wenner and his wife were loving special people. My great great grandmother, my great grandmother, my great aunt and other senior family members from days gone by called him Billy Wenner. He was acquainted with all people no matter what you had or did not have or what color your skin was. Mr. and Mrs. Wenner would always greet you with a smile and say hello and have kind words to speak whether you would pass them walking or in a store or wherever. They were beautiful...

So sorry to read of Bill's passing. He was a wonderful colleague and great guy. Sincerely, Paul Alpert

I served for several years on the Judicial Ethics Committee with Judge Wenner which he chaired. He was the perfect chairman. He was a model himself of judicial conduct and expected other judges to adhere closely to their obligations as public servants. He was a gracious, thoughtful and soft spoken man who was a joy to work with.
Judge Wenner remains a model for us all to emulate.
