Dear Pat and family,

Such sad news but so many treasured memories. Bill and I met at a meeting of the Troop 1 Boy Scouts at Saint Paul's Church and also worked together at Smith Barney. He was a mentor to me as a Portfolio Manager and we often shared stories about stocks and crazy markets! I knew him when I was a lot younger and as I celebrate my 70th birthday next month I will lift my glass to Bill with loving memories! God bless you Bill and all of your family. Rest in...

Bill hired me into the industry. When others said I would not make it, Bill took the chance with a young man just Leaving the Army. My success is directly because of Bill. He was one of my mentors and did everything he could to ensure my success. He was a great manager and friend. There are a lot of ‘old’ EF Hutton alumni that will miss him. With Memorial Day coming up, have his name in mind as he also was a chopper pilot in Vietnam as well. A true patriot.

Bill was my first friend at Smith Barney. In addition to being in the same line of work, we were about the same age, shared our Christian Faith, and both had military service in our younger days.

Bill was a valuable mentor to me in the “transactional” side of the investment business. He introduced me to the Downtown Men’s Bible Study at the YMCA. Last, but not least, Bill was my first “official” partner in the investment business.
