William Raymond Widmyer

WIDMYER William Raymond Widmyer, 82, of Whitehall, died Thursday, December 13, 2012. He was born February 24, 1930 in Lansing, OH at the home of his late parents William and Sophie (Kowaski) Widmyer. He was a graduate of St. John Central High School in Wheeling, WV, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from Western Electric. He was Mr. 50/50 at Holiday Lanes Friday Morning Sr. League, a member of Western Electric Pioneers and the Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club. He is preceded in death by siblings Joseph and Ernest and Mary Louise Swanton and his beloved bird Toby. He is survived by three children, Olivia Ann (Michael) Karl, Christina Marie Widmyer and Raymond (Bonnie) Widmyer; two grandchildren, Brittany Rae and Bridgette Louise Widmyer; sister, Elaine Trouten; good friends, Rich and Patsy, Carl and Norma, Karen and Jimmy, Pam and Jack. Special thanks to caregivers at Mill Run and Crown Pointe Care Centers. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E.
