William Wilks

When I started as Hamilton City Manager in 2010, Bill was one of the first people I met. I started calling him my "Senior Policy Advisor", because he always had thoughts and insights into many city issues. Hamilton was fortunate to have Bill for as long as they did. You cannot write Hamilton's history without multiple references to him, the Wilks family, and the extended Wilks family. I still miss seeing him name pop up on my phone, or seeing his smile. I would love to see a sculpture of him...

Bill was one of the first people I had the pleasure of meeting when I became City Manager of Hamilton in September 2010. I cherished our lunches together, where he would share stories about his athletic career, his passion for German Village, and his unwavering love for Hamilton. He had a way of making life´s moments special-whether reminiscing about the past or simply offering his wisdom. He would often call me at work and say, "This is your Senior Policy Advisor calling," which never failed...

I was sad to hear of Bill´s passing. What a great supporter of Hamilton. I enjoyed knowing Bill and his many projects that made Hamilton a much better city. My sympathy to his family and many friends.
