He was a ray of sunshine,, he’d make me laugh so hard at work. When I got sick he went out of his to see me in hospital pick me up for tests get me DQ he was like my other Dad I still miss him,,Byerlys was not the same without him

I worked with Bill the last 2 years at Pizza Hut and the words that come to mind are sweet, gentle and kind. He was always of good cheer. Every weekend he would brighten the mornings with donuts. I'm sorry for your loss. We deeply miss Bill at Pizza Hut. rest in peace friend.
One more note, Bill's last day at Pizza Hut was to be spent delivering pizzas via a limo!

Bill was my dear friend and co-worker, I miss him greatly,we had so much darn fun at work where he called himself a "bagologist" him telling customer that we were doing a survey and then asking if they were "warm and fuzzy" I miss telling him to "get the lead out!" Coach Wires was my Little League coach in Des Moines in the early '60's. Greg was on the team and Tommy was the batboy. He was always joking and teaching us guys about baseball, which made for a great experience and some lifetime memories.

I first met Bill in eighth grade in Des Moines and last visited with him in Minneapolis 5 or 6 years ago. As an eighth grader I played on the Bill Wires football team (we were all small for our age and exceptionally slow) and the Bill Wires basketball team(same players as football team). Bill was a good basketball player. Spent a lot of time with him in high school and college. Always fun to be around. Very sad to hear of his death. When I picture him in my mind he is always laughing. Kelly...

We will miss Bill. He always had a smile, a cup of coffee and a pat for our dog, Marcell. He was an encyclopedia of sport facts and did a great "Al Adams" which brought laughter to all the Adams Family. We know Greg, Tom and Jeff are at peace knowing Bill and Liz will again be together. Thinking of you all, Tom, Kathy and Marcell.
